Sessions run during the normal school terms.
Our sessions are as follows:-
Monday—Friday
9.15am—12.15pm
Mother and Toddler Session 10am –11am (Wednesday only)
Lunch Club 12.15pm—1.00pm
Fees are £9 per session for unfunded children.
We have regular routine, which helps children develop a sense of time and sequencing. Also children feel more confident when they know what is coming next.
The morning Pre-School sessions runs from 9.15am - 11.45am. This is for all children.
The morning sessions run as follows, with times being approximate:
9.15am - 9.30am Welcome and registration
9.30am - 10.30am Freeplay
We have a wide range
of activities on covering the six areas of learning. Children are able to self select
from the resources encouraging autonomy and learning through play.
10.00am - 10.30am Rolling snack bar opens
Snack time is observed by a member of staff
allowing the children to take advantage of the healthy food and drink that is available,
encouraging self care and helping peers if needed.
10.45am — 11.15am Adult initiated
activity
11.15am — 11.30am Tidy-up time
All children are encouraged to participate
in this team work activity.
11.30am — 11.45 Review/sharing ideas/interest
Children
can talk about the activities they have done that session and sharing ideas for future
sessions.
11.45am — 12.15pm — Outdoor time
We have our own outdoor area that the children
are encouraged to care for i.e. Grow plants and vegetables and caring for the wildlife.
12.15pm—
Home time for morning children
12.15pm— 1.00pm — Lunch Club (Wednesday & Thursday
Only)
We operate a Lunch Club, which is very popular with the children, and soon become
filled. You can permanently book a Lunch Club session or book occasionally, depending
on numbers. Children need to bring a packed lunch, in a cool bag/lunchbox.
Pre-School Routine
Lunch Club (Wednesday & Thursday only)
Our lunch club is an opportunity for Pre-School children to prepare for the extended school day they will meet on entering Reception Class at Lower School and also helps:-
Boosting confidence in a structured social setting
Encouraging development of social
skills
Each child brings their own packed lunch in a named container.
Lunch Club is
available to all children who are currently registered and attend Pre-School. The
cost is £2.50 per session. You will need to register your child for the club and
indicate how many sessions they will attend per week.
